Artist Bio
Born on Long Island at the tail end of the Baby Boom, Peter had a bland and predictable suburban childhood. At the tender age of 18 he headed West to kick start his floundering career in music. He landed in San Diego and stayed for the next 15 years or so.
As luck would have it he soon found work as a high volume portrait photographer and quickly fell in love with the art and craft of photography. After a few years of grinding out family portraits, Peter changed course
and pursued a career in commercial and wedding photography. Seeing photography as a Fine Art, he began his studies toward a degree in Art History. Capitalizing on his past in the commercial field, he quickly went from student to instructor. A convoluted series of events found him settling in Madison, Wisconsin in the early 1990’s. There, Peter continued teaching and restarted his studies in Art History. He soon abandoned photography for painting and left academia entirely for self directed study.
In 2022 he retreated to an undisclosed location in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania where he continues his voyage of discovery.
